With Provide First Aid participants can be Aged 14 and above.
Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian. This form can be found here.
Express Course (Blended)
This course is also known as Blended Face to Face and eLearning. Participants must complete up to 2 hours of online pre-course learning prior to attending a short face-to-face assessment session. Minimum duration is 1 hour*. A current or recently expired Statement of Attainment is required for express entry.
Standard Course (Face to Face)
This course is delivered entirely face-to-face in class. Up to 2 hours of pre-course online learning must be completed prior to attendance. Minimum duration is 4 hours.
Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or will be refused entry.

This course provides comprehensive training on the safe and effective administration of paracetamol and methoxyflurane for pain relief. It includes detailed instruction on the use, storage, and documentation of these medications, as well as ongoing monitoring of the casualty’s condition.

This unit is designed for personnel in emergency services, volunteer organisations, and any entities that offer medically supervised first aid services. It ensures that individuals are well-equipped to manage pain effectively while adhering to established medical protocols.
Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.
Learners must hold a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid statement of attainment to attend this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills. Those completing the express course must have previously completed PUAEME008 Provide pain management (or its equivalent) and will be required to provide a copy of their expiring Statement of Attainment on the day of their face-to-face course.
Those completing the express version will need access to a computer or tablet to complete the eLearning component. Internet access is required.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. If you have poor mobility or a current injury please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing, as the practical nature of the demonstrations and practice may possibly require bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements Participants will require suitable LLN skills to complete the following tasks/skills:
- Read information from a PowerPoint and whiteboard
- Listen and understand verbal information delivered by an English-speaking trainer
- Complete written incident report forms in English
- Read and answer a multiple-choice question paper
- Read and answer a short-written answer test
- Be able to count to 30
Requirements for completion
Participants need to attend 100% of this first aid training. If they can’t, please contact our office for further arrangements.
