This accredited course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively respond to an electrical emergency using a low voltage rescue kit and perform CPR on a casualty who has stopped breathing. Suitable for electricians needing a CPR/LVR certificate for work.
This includes calling for help, the ability to respond to CPR and basic rescue first aid situations, casualty assessment, decision making and basic life support functions including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the performance of rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.
It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

First Aid participants can be Aged 14 and above.

Express Courses (most popular)
These courses are delivered partially online in your own time and with a short
face-to-face session (2.5 hours)
Standard Courses
These courses are delivered completely face-to-face in class.
Longer course times are required (4 hours)
Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or will be refused entry.
Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.
There are no prerequisites for this course; however it is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the first aid training.
Those completing the express version will need access to a computer or tablet to complete the eLearning component. Internet access is required.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing, as the practical nature of the demonstrations and practice may possibly require bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.
