This course provides participants with the knowledge and advanced skills in automated external defibrillation, mechanical resuscitation and oxygen delivery and understand the fundamental principles that can be applied to save and preserve life in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and with the necessary skills required to confidently coordinate, manage and instruct other first aiders across a range of complex situations – as well as within community and workplace environments. This course covers adult and child conditions.

Students must have completed the latest HLTAID011 Provide First Aid as Prerequisite.
It is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the first aid training.
Those completing the express version will need access to a computer or tablet to complete the eLearning component. Internet access is required.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing, as the practical nature of the demonstrations and practice may possibly require bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.
Minimum Age
First Aid participants can be Aged 14 and above.
Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian. This form can be found here.

Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities

You are required to undertake annual CPR refresher training.
Our comprehensive student management system will remind you a month before your CPR and first aid certificate is due to be refreshed.
