This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills in providing first aid response to a casualty in a remote or isolated site over an extended period of time until medical assistance is provided, or evacuation occurs.
This includes calling for help, the ability to respond to remote first aid situations, casualty assessment, decision making and basic life support functions including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This course covers adult and child conditions.
Completing an accredited first aid course has never been so enjoyable, with our two-day class suitable for those needing workplace approved training or for those who want to know what to do ‘just in case’.
First Aid participants can be Aged 14 and above.
Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian. This form can be found here.
Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.
There are no prerequisites for this course; however it is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the first aid training.
Those completing the express version will need access to a computer or tablet to complete the eLearning component. Internet access is required.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing, as the practical nature of the demonstrations and practice may possibly require bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.

You are required to undertake annual CPR refresher training.
Our comprehensive student management system will remind you a month before your CPR and first aid certificate is due to be refreshed.
